Trail Rule #5: Let Sleeping Gods lie…

Sitka’s Quay appears to be like every other coastal tourist town on Highway 101, but lurking below its southern grove of ancient spruce are three sleeping primordial gods. For an eon, their bloodthirsty dreams have radiated into the ground and restore anyone who walks within the Grove. The Keeper, Dayla Fischer, must remain in control of her magical abilities or fall into sickening madness, but lives a relatively quiet life with her husband, Oliver. That is, until the delusional, but charming Jonah Leifson comes to town with a plan to awaken the Three. Soon, children begin disappearing. With powerful suggestion spells and mind reading abilities, Jonah wins over other sorcerers, meth users, the police, and eventually even her husband. Though no one believes her and she doubts her own sanity, she must stop Jonah, before he wakes the Three and brings about the end of the world.

Title: 10 Things you don't know about Author Elizabeth Guizzetti Tags: List, Authors life, Blog Tour, The Grove, Elizabeth Guizzetti, Author, Dark Fantasy, Magic First of all, thanks so much for having me, Mello and June! I appreciate you being part of my blog tour. I am excited to introduce myself to your readers. So here is the official version of who I am: Much to her chagrin, Elizabeth Guizzetti discovered she was not a cyborg and growing up to be an otter would be impractical, so she began writing stories. Guizzetti currently lives in Seattle with her husband and two dogs. When not writing, she loves hiking and birdwatching. She is the author and illustrator of independent comics: Faminelands and Lure and Out for Souls&Cookies! Her debut novel, Other Systems, was a 2015 Finalist for the Canopus Award for excellence in Interstellar Fiction. She continues to write science fiction, horror, and fantasy. The Grove is her third novel. Hopefully that gave you a chuckle, here's a few more facts about me.
  1. I have visited 10 countries, but I have only lived in Washington State.
I love the escapism and fun of professional wrestling. It's a watching wrestling 3+ times a week by two separate promotions and subscribe to the WWE network so we can watch pay-per-views every month kind of love. I have favorite wrestlers such as The New Day, Dean Ambrose, and Finn Balor (WWE) Cody Rhodes (Independent) and Joe Hendry (WCPW). wrestling
  2. Yeah I might own a John Cena doll and a few wrestling t-shirts like this epic The New Day shirt.
  3. I'm an introvert, but because of the work I do most people think I am an extrovert. People think I am confident, but most of the time I'm a walking sack of trembling self-doubt.
  4. I drink a lot of espresso. Though it is delicious, it doesn't help with number 3.
  5. I am a disciplined writer. When an idea comes into my head, I take 30 minutes and write all my ideas down as quickly as possible so I can get back to my work. I write or create artwork 3-8 hours a day. I also have to do other buisness stuff or I would spend even more time writing.
  6. In college, I worked for a telemarketing firm for three months. (I hated it. No one wanted to talk to me!)
  7. My siblings and I all have given names that begin with the letter E.
  8. Speaking of my sibling, I was the first to get married and the only one without children. (My husband and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary this year if you can believe it!)
  9. My favorite author since I was 12 years old is Steven King. I try to get all his new books in hardback. When I find used hardbacks of early works, I collect them too.
  10. I have a Youtube channel. I do three weekly shows. Elizabeth's Sunday Book Review is all about the book or books that I have read over the previous week. I review books because to write well, reading is important. Common Author Questions is where I answer questions about writing. Birdwatching with Poodles is all about, as you probably guessed, birdwatching with my dogs. Plus you can find illustrated readings and other fun stuff.
